VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR VISITOR INFORMATION CENTER

The Santa Rosa County Tourist Development Council and the Navarre Beach Area Chamber of Commerce are looking for out-going, friendly volunteers who can professionally and positively present our area to visitors and the local community.

Because visitors and their satisfaction are our business, this volunteer position is very important to Santa Rosa County and Navarre! This is an opportunity to learn more about your community and share with others what you know about the local area. You will also be required to perform light clerical duties including answering phones and directing calls appropriately, keeping accurate count of visitors and phone calls, applying postage to packages and mail, and clipping and filing newspaper articles of interest to tourism and local business.

Volunteers are asked to work one four-hour shift per week at the beautiful new Visitor Information Center in Navarre Park.

If you are interested, email vic@navarrechamber.com or call 939-8666 or visit the Navarre Visitor Information Center and ask for Maureen or Nancy.

BEAUTIFICATION COMMITTEE
HARD AT WORK (STILL)

Thanks to donations of funds from the Tourist Development Council and local sponsors, our island has become a little more inviting.

You may have seen new palm trees, benches and receptacles placed up and down Gulf Blvd.  More than 20 palm trees were replaced near the mainland entrance to the bridge as well.

Sponsors such as Caribbean Isle Homeowners Association, Juana’s Pagodas, Kool Breeze, the Malone Family, Navarre Regency, The Pearl, the Phillips Family, Sailor’s Grill, the Salsbury Family and Sugar Beach Townhomes have donated and name has been engraved on a bench.

The trash receptacles can be an advertisement for local sponsors as well.  For only $300 a sponsor’s name will be attached to a container.

Text Box: If you haven’t visited Navarre Beach in awhile you need to!

The Island has been cleaned up and much work has been done to make our home more beautiful.
From our updated new Welcome sign at the foot of the bridge to the benches and Palm Trees our Association has placed along Gulf Blvd., our home is more inviting than ever!
The new Navarre Beach Pier construction began earlier in the year, the State Park has finally been reopened to the public and there is a new store named “Sandy Bottoms” where beach equipment, fishing supplies and more can be found. Scooter rental is also available in front of this new establishment.

Juana’s is celebrating its 20th anniversary and many events are planned during the summer to honor this longtime icon of
